Statement of Beliefs
Found below are the core beliefs of Winchester Road Baptist Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
The Scriptures
We believe that the Bible was written by men, was divinely inspired, trustworthy, and is without error. Because of this, we believe the Bible is completely true, totally trustworthy, and is the standard by which all human conduct and all religious theology should be tested.
The Triune God
We believe that there is only one God, revealed in three persons;
The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. We believe that He is all powerful, all knowing, all wise, and ever present. We believe that He is outside of time and has no beginning or end. We believe that this triune God is the creator of all things; that man was created in his image, and is subject to God's rule as the single authority over all life and all of creation.

Mankind
We believe that God also made a helper for Adam (man) when he fashioned Eve (woman) and in doing so gave us His design for marriage which should be between one male and one female.
We believe that man is born with a sinful nature because of Adam's disobedience toward God in the garden.
We believe that man's sinful nature must be redeemed in order for fellowship with God to be restored.

Jesus
We believe Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and fully God and without sin. We believe that he willingly died on the cross to pay our sin debt, was buried in a borrwed tomb, and bodily rose again three days later, victorious over sin and death.
The Holy Spirit and the Church
We believe that every believer receives the Holy Spirit at the moment of conversion who enables them to effectively serve him in various ways. We believe that God has called his church to worship him in spirit and in truth.
